Lucky Strikes 2014

On Saturday, January 18th, The Providence on Southmore, Inc. hosted its first annual "Lucky Strikes" bowling event. The fundraising event was established to support the organization's various programs. Take a look at the photo gallery to check out the event's volunteers and participants who showed off their skills while having a great time raising money to support college completion in the Houston area. Partners for the event included: South Union CDC, Knowledge First, Love Fellowship Church, EDP Engineering, South Dallas Smiles, Hour Trained Bodies, FS Training Systems, and DW Promotions. Majic 102’s Sunday Morning Live

On Sunday, July 7, 2013, The Providence on Southmore, Inc. was featured on Majic 102’s Sunday Morning Live with host Marcus Davis.  This opportunity afforded founder, Dr. Karla Brown and board member, Nita Webber an opportunity to expound upon the mission of the organization.  Their message was also a call to the community to recruit additional students for the organization’s college support services, to increase their volunteer base, and to kick-off the organization’s summer fundraiser campaign.
